OK so I know I recently posted some stuff about Diet Szn, but it’s the end of the world so forget it, right?


I don’t think there is anyone in this world who doesn’t like garlic bread.


Seriously, if you don’t…who hurt you?


I made up these garlic bread pinwheels one day when I had bought canned pizza dough for something, but didn’t end up using it.


I thought – what could I do with this that’s not pizza? And I don’t think I’m a genius for making the garlic bread connection.


But pretty close.


QUARANTINE VIC TRICK: This canned pizza dough have like a 2 month shelf life in the fridge. Perfect for quarantine!!!


Anyway this recipe is super simple, so on with it…


Preheat the oven to 375°


Place oil, butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, and oregano into a bowl and melt in the microwave.


Uncan and unroll the pizza dough onto some sort of non-stick surface. I have these amazing plastic cutting boards which work well, but you could also use my FAVORITE, parchment here.


Brush the butter concoction over the entire sheet of dough.


VIC TRICK: We’ll be rolling this dough the longways, so make sure your butter concoction is touching the edges on the top and bottom. The left and right are not as critical and you’ll see why.


If you’re feeling wild, like I was, you can add a little shredded cheese.

Roll the dough longways until completely rolled.

Cut the dough into 1 1/2 inch slices.

Place the dough into a baking pan and top with more butter, garlic, and cheese.

Place into the oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.

If you’re quick with your hands, you should be able to slide the whole formation out and onto a plate for serving.


And it’s that easy! The garlicky goodness is ready!

Ingredients

  • – canned pizza dough
  • – 3 tbsp butter
  • – 2 tsp garlic powder
  • – 2 tsp oregano
  • – 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions

– Preheat oven to 375°
– Combine butter, garlic, and oregano and melt butter in microwave or over the stove
– Unroll pizza dough from can and spread into a rectangle
– Add cheese into butter mixture when melted
– Spread mixture over entirety of the pizza dough, saving some for later
– Gently roll the dough, longways and tightly, until entirely rolled
– Cut in 1-1/2 inch piece and place flat into a baking pan
– Baste the tops with the remainder of the butter mixture
– Place into oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown
– Enjoy!
