Nutella Swirls Brioche

I love making this recipe and fill the house with this amazing smell.

I love making this dough. It is so fun to watch it cure. I start by adding all the ingredients into the mixer. I let it run for 10 minutes or so (at least 7) and just stand by and watch. Once dough, I let it rest in the fridge for about 4-5 hours (best overnight).

Using a rolling pin, I make it into a square or something similar. Then, I cover it all with a thin layer of Nutella.

Using a pizza cutter, I cut triangles.

Then, I roll it from the base of the triangle to the tip.

I let it rest in shape for 30 minutes before baking. I add an egg on top right before baking.

Bake for 20 minutes and let cool down before serving.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 500gr (4 cups plus 2 tbsp flour) flour
  • 1 tbs yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 200 gr (1 3/4 sticks) melted butter
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • salt
  • tsp vanilla extract

Filling

  • Nutella

Instructions


Mix all ingredients in a mixer for 10 minutes
Let the dough rest in the fridge for 4-5 hours
Preheat oven
Make balls of dough
Roll it into a square
cover with Nutella
cut into triangles using a pizza cutter
roll in from base to tip
let it rest
brush with egg
bake on 365 for 20 minutes
