Sea Salt Peanut Butter Bars

The sun is shining on these peanut butter chocolate bars. Full of flavor, and nutrition that you can feel good about! And they couldn’t get much simpler at 5 ingredients...6 if you tip with sea salt...which in my opinion is a must. Just mix the ingredients, freeze, then too with a smooth chocolate drizzle and flaky sea salt. Go! What are you waiting for? Make these, and tag @bellesdirtydishes on IG so I can see how they turned out!

Ingredients
Filling
  • 2 C Almond flour
  • 1/2 C Peanut butter
  • 1/4 C Maple syrup or honey
Topping
  • 1/2 C chocolate chips
  • 1 T coconut oil
Instructions
Filling
Heat peanut butter until it’s runny, then mix all three ingredients together until it comes together into a good cookie dough-like consistency.
Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and press dough into the pan. Freeze until firm (I did overnight).
Melt 1/2 C chocolate chips + 1 T coconut oil. Combine thoroughly, and drizzle at will on chilled bars.
Top with sea salt flakes if you want to 🤷🏻‍♀️
Tips
  • I prefer maple syrup...the honey leaves a pretty strong honey flavor.
  • I use Maldon sea salt flakes, which makes for nice salty bites.

Not clear to me... I find it confusing to read a reference to the chilled bars before drizzling with chocolate and before freezing. When are the bars to be chilled? Then, the last step being, "... press dough into the pan. Freeze..."

I agree with previous comment. Do you press into the pan, then drizzle with chocolate or freeze then drizzle?? Not clear as to steps.
