How to Make Lady Bug Cookies


Ingredients:


  • 15 Oreos
  • 1 cup red melting chocolate
  • Black writing gel or edible marker
  • Candy eyes

Directions:


Melt the red candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave at 30 second intervals, about 2 minutes total.

Dip each Oreo cookie half way in the melted red chocolate and place on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.

Allow cookies to cool and harden. This should take about 10 minutes. It helps if you put them in the refrigerator for a few minutes after dipping them so that they completely harden.

Once your love bug oreo cookies have cooled and hardened, it’s time to add the decorations!

To adhere googly eyes use a toothpick to put two dots of melted candy on the oreo.

Attach googly eyes to the red dots.
