Red Velvet Christmas Crinkle Cookies

A festive holiday classic cookie! These red velvet Christmas crinkle cookies are made with only four ingredients; red velvet cake mix, eggs, oil and powdered sugar.

These Christmas Crinkle cookies are some of my daughter’s favorite cookies to bake. She has been baking with me ever since she was a baby. I would set her in a bouncy seat on the counter and she would hold the spoon while I baked my go-to chocolate chip cookies. Then as she got older, she helped put the ingredients in the bowl and would turn on the mixer…now she creates recipes on her own and runs the whole show!

My nieces recently visited and we enjoyed baking and eating red velvet and chocolate crinkle cookies!

You can also swap out the red velvet cake mix for chocolate cake mix or lemon cake mix and make chocolate or lemon crinkle cookies!

I was just looking for this recipe! and yours is so easy! Thank you! Also I had to do a double take on the picture then check to make sure my "Better Homes and Gardens COOKIES and CANDIES" cookbook was on the shelf! LOL I found my copy at a flea market when I was first married 37 years ago!

Ahh!! I love that!! My grandma, who just recently passed away at almost 101, gave this to me years ago...the Gingerbread Boys recipe is one I make every single year with my kids!! It took my 6 years of shopping at antique stores, thrift shops, Goodwills, etc to find 3 more copies - one for my sister, to be sister-in-law and mom!!

What size cake mix do you use? I think some are around 15 oz. and others are around 18 oz.

Was just wondering if it mattered. Many thanks!

Yes, size DOES matter! I could only find the smaller size cake mix, so I tried it out without modifying the recipe, and they came out a gummy mess.
