Chocolate chip cookies are the perfect Christmas platter cookie. Everyone loves them. But even if it's not Christmas, everyone still loves this classic chocolate chip cookie recipe. What's great about it is you're able to make it ahead of time. You can make the dough and you can freeze it so that when you're hungry for cookies, you can take out the frozen dough balls and bake them to make a plate of fresh cookies -- without needing to make a fresh dough. That saves you a lot of time, especially if you are making these during Christmas season when you're so busy and don't have that much spare time overall.

After you scoop the dough, you can freeze it.
