This was my favorite breakfast growing up! Oladi super fluffy pancakes that are made with buttermilk or yeast (my recipe uses yeast), and they go great with jam, honey and sour cream. Give them a try and let me know what you think!

Gather all ingredients.

Start off by warming up the milk until it is 100f-115f. Add in yeast and let sit for 5-7 minutes for the yeast to activate. Add the milk and flour to a large bowl and mix together. Let it rise covered with clear wrap for 1 hr or until it doubles. Add in the eggs, vanilla extract, sugar, salt, and butter. Mix until well combined. Then cover with clear wrap and let sit for 1 more hr or until it doubles.

Add corn oil to a large skillet. Once hot add in the batter and fry. (Wet the spoon in between each scoop to help the batter come off easily.)

Fry each side until it’s golden brown. Enjoy with honey or jam.
