Friends Cocktails Series: The Monica Vegan Boozy Milkshake
Since I am the Nostalgic Foodie, I love creating fun throwback series. One of my all time favorite shows is Friends, which just celebrated it’s 20 year mark with a, in my opinion, fantastic reunion show. To celebrate, I created a cocktail based on each of the characters. Be sure to check them all out! Below is more info on The Monica.
As all Friends Fans know, Monica lost a bunch of weight after high school, but she is also an incredible chef. She has mastered to art of making incredible food but not gaining the weight back. Therefore, I knew if she made a milkshake, she’d make it insanely delicious but also on the healthier side. This recipe is completely vegan and very low calorie compared to traditional milkshakes. In other words, you can have lots of them without feeling “guilty.”
Friends Cocktails Series: The Monica Vegan Boozy Milkshake
Recipe details
Ingredients
- 1 pint Halo Top vegan candy bar ice cream (softened)
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz coffee liqueur
- 4 oz dairy free milk
- optional toppings: vegan whipped cream + chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Combine ice cream, vodka, coffee liqueur, and milk into a blender. Blend on high until desired consistency is reached
- (about 30 seconds).
- Top with whipped cream + nuts
Tips
- Let the ice cream sit out for about 10 minutes until softened before adding it to the blender.
