Y’all if you love lemonade, you have to try this recipe. I’m a southern girl and if I’m going to drink lemonade, it’s gonna be fresh squeezed and made with real sugar. Yum!! Yum!!
Here is a Perfect Recipe to make fresh squeezed lemonade. I look forward to hearing how you like it. So gather your supplies and be sure to use a clear pitcher for lemonade just because it’s so pretty with lemon’s floating in the pitcher. This
The real secret to this recipe is the lemon zest. You want to heat the lemon zest along with the sugar in approx. 2 cups of water. Do not bring to a boil. Heat until the sugar is dissolved and then stain the mixture before adding additional ingredients.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cup - Sugar
- 7-8 - Lemons
- Zest - 2 - Lemons
- 6 1/2 cups - Water approximately
Instructions
- Wash Lemons Well
- Zest two lemons and set aside
- Place 2 cups of water, lemon zest and sugar in sauce pan
- Heat until sugar is dissolved. Do not boil
- Strain sugar solution into pitcher
- Squeeze juice from all lemons – should be approx. 1 cup of juice
- Add juice to pitcher
- Fill with water until pitcher is full – 1 quart of Lemonade
- Stir before serving – keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
- Serve over ice
Tips
- Important note: Be sure to strain the sugar and lemon zest mixture before adding to your pitcher. If you skip this step, you may not have perfect lemonade. LOL
- If you prefer no pulp, you can strain your lemon juice before adding to the pitcher as well.
