This White Chocolate Mocha is just like what you’d get from the coffee shop, only half the price and you don’t have to stand in line!

People have pretty strong opinions about a certain national coffee chain. I’ve found that most people either love it or hate it. I hate to be a fence sitter, but I’m actually pretty neutral about it. Their coffee is pretty decent. I’m a big fan of the fancy schmancy drinks, but not such a fan of the price tags that come along with them. So rather than go without, I decided to make my own fancy drinks at home for less than half the price of what I would normally pay. They’re also completely delicious, and you control the ingredients that go into them.

Ingredients
White Chocolate Mocha
  • 3 tablespoons white chocolate sauce
  • 3 ounces of espresso or strongly brewed coffee
  • 1 cup milk (whole milk tastes the best, but use your preferred milk)
  • Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
To Make White Chocolate Mocha
Add 1 and a half tablespoons of the white chocolate sauce into two mugs or glasses.
Brew the espresso or coffee however you prefer to brew it.
Heat the milk to between 140-150 degrees either in a saucepan or an electric milk warmer/frother. (frothing the milk is fun, but not strictly necessary)
Divide the coffee between the two mugs and stir to combine the white chocolate sauce, then pour the milk over the coffee, and top with whipped cream.
Tips
  • To make it iced:
  • Follow the previous instructions, except for heating the milk.
  • Once everything is mixed together, either fill the cup with ice, or fill a new cup with ice, and pour the coffee over the ice in the new glass. Top with whipped cream.
