It’s almost holiday season so here we go with more hibiscus tea recipes! This hibiscus sangria has apple juice, whiskey, white wine and freshly squeezed orange juice. I served it with chopped Granny smith apples and orange slices. This hibiscus white sangria is really delicious and perfect for the merry holiday season.

The best part about making a sangria is how low maintenance it is. You need a good wine-preferably Spanish wine- and chopped fruits which aren’t squishy. Fruit juice, liqeur, sparkling soda are other important ingredients for a good quality sangria. The longer you leave the sangria in the fridge to absorp all the juices from the fruits, the better it tastes. I used apples and oranges for this sangria recipe, but other great fruit choices are plums, cherries, grapes, citrus fruits and berries. A good example of an apple sangria is my blood orange sangria which uses blood oranges, grapes, and apples, and honey.

Once you are done refrigerating the sangria, serve it chilled over ice cubes, and garnish with extra lime or orange wedges. I find it easier to scoop out the fruits from the sangria into the wine glass first to avoid lots of splashing. Happy drinking!
