Two Fun Halloween Cocktails

Two fun Halloween martinis you can easily make at home: Monstertini and Candy Corn Martini.

We had fun experimenting with some easy Halloween cocktails this weekend.

Like all the holidays this year, Halloween will also have a different vibe. All of the typical things we might do for the Halloween season don’t really seem like a good idea, because, you know…pandemic.

So, again, like everything else in 2020, we are planning a low-key, stay-at-home celebration. Sort of like a Halloween Happy Hour for two.

We will probably make some appetizers, definitely some easy Halloween drinks, and maybe put some Ghost Hunter reruns on the TV.

Sounds like a good night to me.

Our own little Halloween party.

How to Make Your Own Fun Halloween Cocktails at Home

Monstertini

This Monstertini cocktail is a super easy spooky drink!

It’s vodka, melon liqueur, pineapple juice, 7Up, and grenadine.

Monsterini Halloween Cocktail

To make it, you add ice cubes to a cocktail shaker, add in the vodka, melon liqueur, and pineapple juice and shake for a few seconds.

Pour it into the martini glasses, and add in a splash of 7Up.

The fun part is how to get the red grenadine to create a layer at the bottom!

It’s easy.

You stick the handle end of a spoon into the martini, so it touches the bottom of the glass.

Then you slowly pour the grenadine onto the back of the spoon and allow it to follow the handle all the way to the bottom of the drink.

Pouring the grenadine into the Monstertini Halloween Cocktail to make it red and green. We made this for Halloween but it wouls also make a great red and green Christmas cocktail.

We made these “monster-y” with the addition of the little zombie guys, but the red and green layers would make this the perfect color for a Christmas cocktail, too!

Fun little garnishes for the Monstertini Halloween Cocktail. Add a different garnish, and this red and green cocktail would also be great for Christmas.

Candy Corn Martini

This is another delicious Halloween cocktail.

Candy Corn Halloween Cocktail

This martini is fast to assemble when you’re ready to drink it, but it does require a bit of planning ahead in order to infuse your vodka with the candy corn.

You won’t be disappointed though, especially if you’re a candy corn lover! The combination of the cake vodka and the candy corn is good.

How to Infuse Vodka for Martinis

Infusing the vodka is easy.

Just add 1/4 cup of candy corn to the bottom of a jar with a lid.

Then cover the candy with 6 ounces of cake vodka.

Allow it to sit in the fridge for several hours, or even better, overnight.

Let the candy corns soak in the vodka for several hours, then strain.

When you’re ready to prepare your drinks, strain out what’s left of the candy and discard it.

You will be left with this bright orange candy corn-flavored vodka with a cake-y essence. 🎉

It makes a pretty orange vodka that tastes like candy corn and is so fun for seasonal Halloween cocktails.

Prepare your martini glasses by dipping the rim of the glass in some corn syrup, which will act kind of like glue.

Glue that tastes good. 🤪

Then turn the sticky rim through some orange sprinkles or orange sugar for a pretty garnish.

Coat the rim with corn syrup and then dip in orange sprinkles or orange sugar for these fun Halloween cocktails.
The candy-coated sprinkle rims are so fun for these Halloween martinis.

Assembling the martinis is simple.

Pour some candy corn vodka into the bottom of each glass.

Then, add the pineapple juice. And finally, top with the cream.

The orange zombie guys are optional but fun, and they take your spooky cocktail to the next level.

I mean, it’s Halloween, during a pandemic, so we should take whatever little opportunities we can for fun is what I say.

Granish the martinis with cute Halloween items from the dollar store.
