You are in for a treat. Nothing beats our Hash Brown Casserole and Salisbury Steak for ease of preparation and yumminess! Let’s get started!

This is truly an Easy Breezy, Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole recipe! It only takes one serving and you’ll be hooked and this will become a family favorite. Pair it with Dave’s Salisbury Steak and you’ll enjoy a fabulous meal!

Seven simple ingredients is all you need for this recipe. Well, maybe 8 (confirm amount of ingredients) if you count salt and pepper. Isn’t that great? I’m a fan of simple recipes that pack a punch of flavor.

What’s in this recipe? There are defrosted frozen hash browns, butter, sour cream, onion, sour cream of chicken soup, cheese, salt and pepper, in this Easy Breezy Cheezy Hash Brown Casserole Recipe! Super simple ingredients.

It’s just so easy to make. Start out preheating your oven to 350 degrees F. Let’s back up a bit…the night before I plan to make this I will transfer the hash browns from the freezer to the refrigerator and let it slowly defrost.

Sprintz your casserole dish with non-stick spray and set aside. In a large mixing bowl thoroughly combine all the ingredients. Transfer to your 9” x 13” baking dish and into your preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes or until it is bubbly. That’s it! Can’t get much easier than that!

This side dish is great garnished with more grated cheese, sliced green onions and for those that want it another dollop of sour cream. Then just wait for the accolades to come from your family and friends! Oh yea, and be prepared to fix this on a regular basis after that!

This hashbrown casserole would compliment many of our main course recipes, such as; Creamy Baked Chicken, Pork Tenderloin, Semi-Homemade Meatloaf and Pot Roast!

We prepared this casserole and mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving one year. Everyone raved about it and have asked for this casserole over mashed potatoes every year since! That’s right, not mashed potatoes and gravy, but this Easy, Breezy, Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole!

This recipe is one of Dave’s best recipes! I say this in all honesty not because he’s my husband, but because he’s a great cook, griller and all around food fixer! You’re going to love Dave’s Salisbury Steak!

He came up with this recipe way back as a young bachelor living with roommates. He called it hamburgers and gravy back then. He’s refined and changed it over the years and it’s now deserving of the title of “Dave’s Salisbury Steak”.

This Salisbury Steak recipe uses simple ingredients and I’m sure you’ll have most of the ingredients in your cupboard, pantry and refrigerator! Nothing fancy and no secret ingredients. Well, he considers one a secret ingredient.

This is an economical recipe as the main ingredient is Ground Chuck. To that, add the Italian style breadcrumbs, ketchup, salt, pepper, garlic salt, beef gravy, an egg, dry mustard or secret ingredient, oregano and worcheshire sauce. Was I right? Nothing fancy.

This will require a large skillet or frying pan with a lid. But, more about that a little later. Finely chop your ½ onion and saute it in oil over medium heat until the onion is soft and translucent.

While the onion is sauteing and in a large mixing bowl break up your ground chuck and combine all ingredients except the sauteing onion and beef gravy.

Patty your meat mixture just as you would if you were making hamburger patties. Set aside until your onions are fully sauteed. Once your onions are done, transfer them to a small mixing bowl, you’ll need those a little later.

Return your skillet to the burner. It should be on medium heat as you place your patties in and brown them for 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Drain off any fat and return the frying pan and patties to your stove top burner. Spread your sauteed onions over the patties and add your beef gravy. Simple and easy so far, right?

Reduce the heat to low, cover your saute or frying pan with it’s lid. Simmer for 20 minutes. That’s it! Dave’s Salisbury Steak is ready to serve and enjoy!

The Easy, breezy, cheesy Hash Brown Casserole and Dave’s Salisbury Steak pair together perfectly! These two dishes are delicious. Prep, make and finish cooking in and about the same amount of time.

I can not wait for you to give these a try and to hear your thoughts on these recipes. Please let us know what you think! We have a simple yet delicious Zucchini Recipe that would work great with this meal.
