Letā€™s be honest, garlic is in the onion family, and if you have ever taken a bite out of raw garlic you will not soon forget that experience! šŸ˜¬Roasting the garlic mellows out the strong bite that raw garlic has. If you are a garlic lover like me, or have any reservations about garlic, then you must try Roasted Garlic šŸ˜‹ Thatā€™s right! Slow roasting it in the oven makes for a savory addition to any meal. Ready?! Letā€™s do this!

Here we cut off just the very tops of the garlic. Donā€™t throw away those tops, keep them in the fridge for your next meal! I honestly think every savory meal should have some form of garlic in it!

Here we added the olive oil. The oil helps cook the garlic in the foil like itā€™s own mini oven.

We roast them for 45 min in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Your house will soon be filled with the most mouth watering aroma of garlic...hmmšŸ˜Š Vampires beware! šŸ¦‡

Here is the beautiful result...roasted garlic šŸ¤¤ Now that the garlic is soft it is so easy to add this to just about anything. Are you making mashed potatoes for dinner? Mix in roasted garlic in the end. How about fettuccini Alfredo? Stir in the roasted garlic after the last step! Garlic bread? Spread roasted garlic onto your oven toasted baguette! Or make it super healthy and just toast the bread dry (no butter or olive oil) and spread the roasted garlic like butter!
