You are going to love this homemade apple muffin recipe! When the weather gets colder, I start looking for more muffin recipes. Baking is a wonderful way to warm up the kitchen in our 1865 farmhouse. It never gets quite as warm as I like it when the temperatures drop closer to zero.

So, these cinnamon applesauce muffins are a wonderful way to use up leftover applesauce. In the fall, when we have more apples than we can eat, I often can homemade applesauce. And, of course, I generally have more than I can use up. I just don’t sit down and eat a bowl of applesauce.
