You are about to have your mind blown as you learn to make the yummiest steak ever!

Well, hello there my sweet friends. Boy, has it been a week! This weather has total crippled my poor state of Texas. We were not prepared for all that was to come. I am heavy-hearted as I see pictures of so many people who have running water pouring through their ceilings, who are having to boil snow so they have water. This has been unimaginable. I almost feel guilty that we had power and water the entire time. I also feel incredibly thankful. Please pray for all those that have been affected by this winter storm.

I hate the damage it caused because it was so beautiful.

Now, on to other things that make me happy. COOKING! I have been wanting to share my recipe for the yummiest steak ever for awhile. It is a combo recipe from a former family (who’s daughter I coached, who owned a steakhouse) and a little bit of creativity from my husband. It is super easy and will result in the most tender and delicious steak you have ever tried!

The first thing you will do is buy your steak. Now, no two steaks are the same and I can tell you with 100% confidence, Costco has the BEST steaks! That is the only place we buy ours from. Pick whatever cut you desire. We used filets in this recipe because I like the leanest meat possible. My husband prefers ribeyes, which we usually use as well.

As far as ingredients, you will need a 12 oz beer of your choice, mustard, coarse black pepper, Kosher salt, and Spice Classics Garlic and Pepper seasoning. You will also need to have a 1 gallon sized baggie.

You are going to start by making your marinade. Add a can of any beer to your bowl. It was so funny because our beer was actually frozen in the outside fridge from the weather. It was a beer slushy. LOL

Next, add in the mustard. We use about 3 TBS. ish.

Add in the garlic and black pepper seasoning as well as coarse black pepper.

Whisk all the ingredients together.

Place steaks inside the baggie and pour the marinade on top.

Gently shake the baggie around to cover the steaks well. Place baggie in fridge and marinade overnight. Every few hours, remove baggie from the fridge and move steaks around so they get evenly marinated.

The next day, take the steaks out of the marinade and coat with kosher salt and coarse black pepper. Sear in a skillet over the grill (or stove) 2 minutes on each side. I prefer to butterfly my steak so it gets cooked all the way, but I also like my steaks totally dead!! LOL

Once the steaks have been seared, you will grill them as usual. If you don’t have a grill, just heat your oven to 300 degrees and cook 12-20 minutes based on how done you like your steaks.

Doesn’t it look amazing?? It is so tasty and so tender. It has now become my very favorite way to have steaks. I have yet to go to a restaurant that I like more than when my husband makes these at home. Not to mention, it is a lot cheaper to make them here.

Are you super excited to try this out? It is the yummiest steak ever! I would not lead you astray. When you make it, come back and comment so I can know your thoughts. Be sure to check out all my other recipes on the blog like Shepard’s Pie, Nachos, or the best Banana Bread!

This sound like it would kick a** on big fat chicken breasts too. I love filet mignon so I can’t wait to try it. Steak for dinner tonight honey.

What temp is your oven set on? Also, I'm thinking that as long as you're using the oven, why not broil the steak to get more of a "grilled" finish to it?
