Hot chocolate is often rich, indulgent, and decadent. What if you can still have that cozy hot chocolate but make it healthy?? This hot chocolate has a touch of peppermint, that you can add or leave out if you're not a big peppermint fan. It's dairy-free, and I typically use almond milk or oat milk, but you can also swap out with whichever milk choice you usually use. I use cacao powder instead of cocoa powder. It's more natural and loaded with nutrients. Also pro tip- use a separate milk frother to get extra frothy foam. I use my Nespresso milk frother to achieve maximum frothiness! But with or without this, it still tastes great!

I used regular almond milk for hot cocoa. I didn't over heat the milk just enough for it to be nice & hot. The almond milk tasted burnt, I used a good quality cocoa but it tasted burnt. I'll try one one you suggest.

I'm not the author of the recipe but have you tried using soy milk, I have had great results with soy milk. Best wishes and Happy New Year 🥂🎉
