I have never made pie before but recently I discovered my kids like them. Odd since I have never made or bought it for the household but considering they like I decided to take on the challenge.

I started by learning the Crust options and this was the easiest one so far.

In a food processor or mixer, whisk together the flour and salt. Sprinkle the butter over the flour and pulse or whisk until butter is coated in flour and the biggest pieces are the size of small peas. Drizzle the water and keep mixing until dough comes together, If doing by hand make sure to is well blended.

Shape the dough into a flattened ball. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, (the dough can be frozen for up to 1 month at this point)

in a flour-dusted area roll out your dough to the thickness you want.

Add some weight and bake for about 8 min

Remove the baking weight, return to oven until light golden

Pour your pie filling and bakes as your recipe calls for

This is what you will end up with after you bake. Now your pie crust is ready to be filled with any pie filling of your choice.
