Hello Friends...Fall is here!

All I crave are comforting meals with fall flavors.. and nothing better to celebrate Fall like pumpkin spice seasonings.

I decided to make these roasted pork chops with pumpkin spiced apple crumble as a topping. So juicy, tender and delicious on every bite.

The right balance between the smokiness from the paprika on the pork chop rub, and that touch of sweetness from the pumpkin spiced apple crumble topping, elevated this dinner to fancy but simple recipe. The coconut sugar in the apple crumble gets caramelized in the broiler to add a crunchy topping layer to this dish.

This is a great recipe to add to your holiday menu. I paired these pork chops with steamed green beans and creamy mashed sweet potatoes. Just simple but well balanced and healthy meal. The best part is that can be cooked and done with in 30 minutes. This is a winner holiday meal!

A lovely hearty dish to serve your family and friends this Fall.

A great combination of savory and sweet in one dish. Absolutely a favorite recipe.

The caramelized topping adds a crunchy topping to this delicious juicy pork chop dish.

I hope you try this recipe and enjoy it as much as my family did.

Ingredients
Pork Chops and pumpkin spiced apple crumble
  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 Tbsp of house seasonings (from Meats2U)
  • 1 tsp of smoked paprika
  • 2 Tbsp of avocado oil
  • 1/2 red apple
  • 1 Tbsp of coconut sugar
  • 1 Tbsp of almond flour
  • 1/4 tsp of pumpkins spice
  • 1 pinch of pink himalayan sea salt
Instructions

In a hot cast iron pan, drizzle about 1 Tbsp of avocado oil, and seared the pork chops about 5 minutes each side
In the meantime, in a small bowl mix the ingredients for the apple crumble topping. Mix the chopped apples, coconut sugar, almond flour, salt and pumpkin spice blend.
Then, remove the pan from the heat. Add the apple crumble topping on each pork chop. Add about 1/4 cup of veggie broth to the pan to keep the meat moist in the oven.
Pre-heat the oven at 350 degrees and place the cast iron pan and cook for about 8 minutes or until the meat reach the desired temperature of 145 degrees. Then change it to broil for 5 minutes, so that the topping get browned or caramelized.
Remove from the oven and let sit for about 5 minutes before serving. Sprinkle a little bit of parsley for color. Enjoy!
Tips
