BBQ Spice Rub Recipe is made with brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, lots of paprika, plus three more spices and is made right in your own kitchen. You won’t believe the flavor this rub will give chicken, pork and beef. I’ve even added it to salmon for a great BBQ style fish dinner.

Be sure your spices are fresh.

My favorite place to purchase spices in the Kansas City area is Penzeys in Downtown Overland Park, KS. They are based out of Wisconsin, but they have retail stores all over the country. Plus, they offer shipping.

GIVE THIS BBQ SPICE RUB AS A GIFT

I’ve given this BBQ spice blend to many friends and family over the years. Take a 2 oz canning jar, fill with BBQ spice rub, add a ribbon and you’ll have the perfect little gift.

STORING BBQ SPICE RUB RECIPE

I recommend you double or even triple this recipe. It will save you time and it’ll be super nice to have on hand for your next last minute barbecue. Store any extra seasoning in a mason jar or any airtight container. It’s best if kept in a cool, dark place.

The spice will last up to 6 months, although I recommend you use it within 2 months for the freshest flavors.
