Have you ever tried to make your own Nutella? I did recently, and it was disastrous in SO many ways, but one of them being that the hazelnuts were expensive, hard to find, and took hours to peel all of them 😳

So, my solution for that was to create this Mixed Nut Chocolate Spread! It comes together in five minutes, doesn’t require any crazy ingredients, and is really healthy compared to a typical hazelnut spread. This has an equal mixture of cashews, almonds, and peanuts, so it has a hint of peanut butter + chocolate, but still the nutty goodness of almonds of cashews.

  • 1/2 cup Roasted Peanuts
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Oil
  • 1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp Cocoa or Cacao powder

Change the speed to medium high, and let it blend for a couple more 20-30 second increments, wiping down and mixing between each one. Add the 1/3 cup of Cocoa or Cacao Powder and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and continue to blend until smooth. Store at room temperature for a week in a cool, dry place.

No one in our family will eat the almonds in the mixed nuts. I'm going to try this with just almonds.
