One of my favorite sauces is PESTO!

My family's favorite sauce is pesto! It is perfect addition to a pasta dish, spread on a sandwich/ panini, wraps, pizza, crostinis, as a marinade or just for dipping.

It is so easy to make and so versatile. This is my spin on the original Italian pesto recipe same delicious color, flavor and crunchier because of the pumpkin seeds and almonds.

Check out this recipe ⬇️

Ingredients

2 cups of organic basil

1 garlic clove ( or 2)

2 TBSP of pumpkin seeds

2 TBSP of raw slivered almonds

1/4 of freshly grated pecorino Romano

1/2 tsp of @traderjoes sofritto Italian seasoning

Extra Virgin Olive oil (about1/3 of cup )

Simply put all the ingredients in the blender except for pecorino cheese and the olive oil. Then blend for 2 minutes then add the extra virgin olive oil and the pecorino Romano, then blend for 1 minute. Store in a glass jar, top it off with more extra virgin olive oil. Keep refrigerated for 3-5 days.

The perfect crunchy and chunky pesto.

My twist on the original pesto recipe. I hope you try this recipe.

My favorite is to add as a spread for the perfect Chicken Pesto Sandwich on ciabatta bread.

I love it as marinade for the perfect roasted chicken pesto.

Oh my, this sounds SO good! I love extra crunch! Do you think this would be good with spinach or another green if I didnt have any basil?
