These chicken parmesan sliders are the best idea I have come up with for supper in a long time! I used the same chicken parmesan recipe I have always made, except I made them mini and served them on a buttery, toasted garlic bun. Chicken parmesan is obviously amazing on its own, but this will blow your mind. Although the instructions may look long, it really is a quick and simple meal. These will for sure be going on my list of go to meals. I think they would be super fun to make with your kids as well. Next time I’m going to try to make a chicken Alfredo version instead of marinara!

Ingredients
For the chicken parmesan:
  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
For the toasted garlic buns:
  • 4 dollar buns
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • Garlic powder
  • Italian seasoning
Instructions
For the chicken parmesan:
Preheat oven to 400°.
Line baking sheet with foil and grease.
Cut chicken breast in half the butterfly way to make 2 thinner pieces of chicken, and then cut those in half horizontally so you have 4 mini chicken breasts.
Pat chicken dry and season with some salt & pepper.
In one bowl, whisk the egg. In another bowl, mix together bread crumbs, parmesan, garlic, oregano, salt & pepper.
Dip each chicken breast in egg and then coat with bread crumb mixture. Repeat this twice for extra crispy chicken.
Place on cooking sheet and cook for 15 minutes.
Take out and top with marinara sauce so that the chicken is covered. Then top with shredded mozzarella and a little parmesan and broil for 3-4 minutes or until cheese is melted and starting to brown.
For the toasted garlic buns:
While broiling the chicken parm, make your toasted garlic buns.
Butter both sides of the buns and sprinkle with as much garlic powder and Italian seasoning as you’d like.
I like to air fry them at 375° for 3-4 min but you could also bake/broil them.
By then, your chicken should be done. Serve chicken on the toasted garlic buns and enjoy!
Tips
  • You can sub dollar buns for Hawaiian buns or just mini buns in general.
