A mouthwatering Curry Tuna Salad made with a curry mayonnaise, crisp apples, and chewy raisins. Mix it all together in just 10 minutes for a light lunch or a quick snack. Everyone will love this!

Tuna fish with a little mayonnaise on its own is delicious but why not mix it up sometimes??? Curry powder is the perfect flavor for something different. It’s a little sweet with warm spices. The fresh apples gives the tuna salad a nice crispy juicy crunch and the raisins give it a nice chewy berry flavor. These are two great ingredients with curry. My kids even love this!!! I never thought that they would like curry, especially my picky eater but he loves this salad. It’s great on croissants or sandwich bread with your favorite root chips on the side. I even love it with some whole wheat crackers for a filling snack. Serve it as an appetizer with crackers or fill it in some puff pastry cups. Give it a try and let me know in the comments below what you think!

WHAT IS CURRY POWDER?

Curry Powder is a spice blend that is used in Indian cooking but you won’t find a single bottle of this in India. In the mid 18th century, the spice blend was created by the British to resemble the flavors they experienced in India. It has warm and robust flavors of coriander, ginger, turmeric, cumin, and chili peppers. It can be bought in mild, medium, and hot.

Although I like them, raisins don't rate very high for me. As a substitute, I will use dried cherries or cranberries, or just add to the raisins. I love this in salads, and even my nut bread in the fall. You have picked some interesting combinations for this recipe, so I will just have to try this.

That is a great idea! You can for sure substitute the raisins for dried cherries, cranberries, or currants. I hope you will enjoy the recipe! Thank you for your comments.
