Summer break has started & since there aren’t going to be any overseas trip this year, kids wanted to recreate pizza workshop we took in Tuscany, at home🥰

We made fresh Rosemary garlic pizza dough & fresh puttanesca pizza sauce to keep it authentic. Adults made paneer pesto pizza & kids made paneer puttanesca pizza! totally transported us to our Italian cooking adventures! So yum! can’t beat this freshness. Happy Summer y’all!❤️

Ingredients
Pizza dough - makes 8 personal pizza
  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups bread or All purpose flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 packet instant dry yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped rosemary leaves-optional
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder - optional
Instructions

Directions:
🍕Mix the flour, sugar, yeast, rosemary and salt in a stand mixer with dough hook and mix well. With the mixer running, add the water and 2 tablespoons of the oil and mix until the dough forms into a ball. If the dough is sticky, add a little flour, until the dough comes together in a ball. If the dough is feels dry, add a little water. Take the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead into a smooth & firm ball. Dough can be made by hand too.
🍕Grease the mixer bowl with some olive oil, place the dough in it & cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put it in a warm area to let it double in size, about an hour. Take the dough out onto a floured surface and divide it into desired pieces. I divided into 4 medium size pizza balls. You can divide them according to your pizza size. Cover each with a plastic wrap and let them rest for 10 minutes.
🍕Preheat oven at its highest temperature.
Roll out the base & use a fork to score the pizza dough so it doesn't rise. Bake the base at your highest ovens setting for 5-7 mins. Then take it out & cool it. Use the desired sauce & toppings. Bake for 7-10 mins until the cheese melts & bottom browns. Enjoy!
Happy pizza making!
Tips
  • You can make garlic knots & breadsticks with this dough too!
