I loveeeeeee sambal oelek.

For those of you who are like “whaaa?” Maybe this pic will ring a bell:

If you still don’t know, then don’t worry, because it’s simply a paste made from crushed chilis, vinegar, and salt.

AKA a little spicy and ohhhh so flavorful.

This stuff is sriracha on crack.

If you’ve never had it, well I have the perfect dish to turn you on.

Plus, it’s mostly one-pan except for the pot to boil the noodles. Oh…

AND IT ONLY HAS 4 INGREDIENTS!!!!!!

Oh and…

IT TAKES LESS THAN 20 MINUTES!!!!!!

Cook the noodles of your choice according to the package, minus 1-2 minutes. DO NOT DRAIN THE PASTA WHEN IT’S DONE!

Vic Trick: Ramen noodles are definitely best here, but you can use udon, spaghetti, or edamame fettucine like I did! They all work.

For this recipe, I used ground pork because it lends itself best to blending with tasty sauces.

But, we’re gonna get it reallll crispy first.

Drizzle a little oil in a pan and set to high heat. Place the entire pound of pork right into the pan.

Let it get a hard sear, about 3 minutes. Then, flip and sear for another 3 minutes.

No need to touch it while it’s searing!

Break the pork into crumbles – bite-sized, not too small. Lower the heat to medium and cook until the pork is cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.

Add 1/4 cup of sambal oelek and 1 ladle full of the pasta water from the noodles.

Cook over medium-high heat until the sauce thickens a bit, about 3-4 minutes. It should look like a slightly thin chili. Add some fresh basil.

OK nowwww you can drain the noodles!

Add in the noodles and top with some more fresh basil.

AND THAT’S IT!!!! Enjoy your BANGIN meal!

This is one of my faves so pleaseee let me know what you think in the comments and @vics_tricks_to on Instagram!
