Rice Krispy Treats are a Family Favorite in my house. When I send care packages to my daughter, Kelsi, there are always Rice Krispy Treats in the box.

Ready to go!!

These are a fast moving and sticky treat to put together. But, I'm telling you, they are worth the mess. I've made jumbo treats in an 8x8 baking dish but, I usually make them in a glass 13x9 baking dish.

Let mix this together

I make these treats with 3 ingredients: marshmellows, butter and rice krispys. I've tried these all kinds of different ways but, I keep coming back to this recipe. I ended up tinkering with the original recipe on the Rice Krispy box to make it my own. So, this recipe was inspired by https://www.ricekrispies.com/.

Gooey goodness!

Unfortunately, these never last very long in my house. I'm not sure if it is the mashmellow or butter that makes these so good. Or maybe it's just the love that goes into making these. But it could be the memory l have of Kelsi standing over the stove, in a t-shirt and volleyball shorts, mixing all of it together that makes these taste so good to me!

Make them yourself and let me know what you think!

i prefer making these in the microwave. Spray a [very large] bowl with cooking spray. Melt the butter or margarine. Add a whole package of mini marshmallows and zap until melted, stopping to stir several times {coat your spoon with cooking spray}. Then add the cereal and mix. Coat your hand with cooking spray to press into desired size pan. then cut to desired size when cooled {and enjoy the trimmings if you are cutting shapes}.

That’s one way to make them. Thanks for sharing! Half the fun for me is the fight to get them in the baking dish

Try using a sandwich bag (over your hand) sprayed with Pam to push the hot mixture into the psn. Works great.
