Jalapeno Chowder

Why not try this easy jalapeno chowder recipe that you can adapt to suit your desires. You can see more of my crazy creations here

Ingredients Needed:

  • Jalapeno Chowder Mix
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • Optional Ingredients include
  • 16 oz. crawfish
  • grilled sausage

Here are the directions

I placed the Jalapeno Chowder Mix, corn, 1 1/2 cups water, and 2 cups skim milk in my Instant Pot. The only amendment I made so far was that I used frozen corn instead of a can of corn.

You could stop with the original ingredients and cook it or add the optional ingredients.

We decided to add the additional ingredients. I rinsed the package of crawfish.

Depending on where you live this little creature is called several names like crayfish, crawdad, and crawfish. What are they called where you live?

Another option was to add sausage. I bought Simple Truth Italian Chicken Sausage Links, and I sliced them up.

I added the crawfish and sausage to the instant pot and mixed them in.

I placed the lid onto my Instant Pot and selected the soup setting.

After the timer was done, the soup was ready to be served.

Serve it up and enjoy!
