I love a simple and delicious one-pot meal. This easy one-pot cheesy meat bake is not only simple, but it’s also quick to make as well. And maybe the best thing about it? It only has 4 ingredients! Add to that, it’s a very inexpensive meal to feed your family, and you have a winner for sure! It’s already got meat and bread included. I usually just add a nice green salad on the side and BOOM, it’s dinner! Keep reading for my full instructions on how to make my easy one-pot cheesy meat bake.

Ingredients for Easy One-Pot Cheesy Meat Bake:
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 cans Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
  • 1 can Campbell’s Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 1 cup milk

Kitchen Equipment Used for Easy One-Pot Cheesy Meat Bake

Step 1:

Brown the ground beef on the stove until it’s fully cooked. I drain and rinse the beef once it’s cooked and then return it to my pot on the stove.

Step 2:

Add in the can of cheddar cheese soup and the cup of milk. (To save dishes and time, I just nearly fill-up the empty soup can with milk, and it works out to be just about the right measurement!)

Step 3:

Mix the soup and milk in well with the ground beef and let it simmer on the stove for a few minutes. It will thicken up slightly. Don’t worry if you think it’s not thick enough at this point. The crescent rolls will soak up a lot of excess liquid too.

Step 4:

Open the crescent rolls and roll them up as if you were going to bake them into a crescent shape. Place on top of the cheesy meat filling mixture and continue to place the rolls until you have the pan covered. I find 2 cans of rolls to be the perfect amount for my pan and the meat mixture. If you wanted less bread, feel free to just use one can and space them out more. (Also, if you want less bread, it’s possible we can’t be friends…)

Step 5:

Put the pan in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes at 350*. Bake until the crescent rolls are cooked on the underside. I just use a fork to gently lift a roll up and make sure it’s done on the bottom side too.

Step 6:

Once your easy one-pot cheesy meat bake comes out of the oven, give it just a few minutes to set up and cool because it will be SO hot. I usually serve this meal with a simple green salad to keep things easy!
