This Goat Cheese and Asparagus Flatbread has been added to our spring dinner rotation. We can’t get enough of the fresh flavor this flatbread has. The fresh asparagus and green onion bursts with flavor while the goat cheese and prosciutto give off a creamy and savory flavor. Check out the recipe at the bottom of the page.

As the weather is getting nicer and nicer we have been trying all new recipes with spring veggies and flavors. Asparagus is one of our favorite vegetables to cook with, the earthy crisp flavor is delicious alone or paired with so many other ingredients. We quickly decided to pair our favorite vegetable with goat cheese for a hint of creaminess. The flatbread part kind of just happened, I think Phillip was in the mood for pizza when we were grocery shopping! We couldn’t be happier with the result of this Goat Cheese and Asparagus Flatbread.

Start making this Goat Cheese and Asparagus Flatbread first by preheating your oven to 400 degrees. Next spread out your dough on the greased the sheet pan. Bake the dough for about 5 minutes and remove from the oven. Spread the herby oil mixture all over the dough, next start spreading the goat cheese out in small blobs. Add the green onion, chives, asparagus, and prosciutto all over the flatbread. Bake for another 12-15 minutes or until your dough is golden brown. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with salt and red pepper flakes before serving.

From our kitchen to yours, cheers!

  • 8 oz goat cheese
  • 3 tbsp chopped green onion
  • 2 tsp chopped chives
  • 5 sprigs asparagus chopped

Other
  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1 pinch salt for garnish
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes for garnish
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°
Spread the pizza dough on a greased sheet pan. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes to get the dough to rise a little.
Take the pan out of the oven and spread the herby oil mixture all over the dough. Next add the goat cheese, green onion, chives, asparagus, and prosciutto. Make sure to really spread out the goat cheese in small blobs because it doesn't melt and spread too well.
Bake the flatbread for another 12-15 minutes or until it is a golden brown color. Remove from the oven and garnish with salt and red pepper flakes.

We used Pilsbury Pizza dough. But if there is another you prefer, you can use that as well!
