Halloween is just around the corner and this Monster Munch is an easy and delicious treat to make with your kids or grandkids. Kids love to be in the kitchen and if you start them early helping out they will be life long lovers of cooking and baking.

To make this Monster Munch you simply pop some popcorn, or you can purchase a bag ready made to speed up the process, then melt your chocolate and sprinkle your favorite Halloween candy all over the top, let it harden, then break it up and enjoy.

Give the kids their own bowls of melted chocolate and spoons to drizzle the chocolate over the popcorn and bowls of candy to decorate and to eat as well.

Place the monster munch in cellophane bags tied with ribbon to give to family and friends or put it in seasonal tins. You can also can make the same "munch" with your favorite Christmas candy to give to friends and family!

Popcorn, M&M's, candy corn, and spooky eyes to add to your Monster Munch.

Popcorn drizzled with milk and white chocolate then topped with your favorite Halloween or seasonal candy.

Make some for yourself and make some to give away!

Add as much or as little chocolate and candy as you like. You can also use colored candy melts if you want black and orange drizzles as well

Ingredients

  • 8-10 cups of popped popcorn
  • 1 cup melted dark chocolate (I used Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers)
  • 1 cup melted white chocolate( Ghiradelli melting wafers or Wilton Melting Wafers)
  • 1 Cup M&M's
  • 11/2 cups candy corn
  • 1/2 cup of candy eyes
Instructions

Line a large baking sheet with waxed paper.
Spread popped pop corn over the baking sheet.
Melt white and dark chocolate in separate bowls according to the directions on each package. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.
Once chocolate is melted drizzle the chocolate all over the popped corn, alternate between white and dark.
Sprinkle the candy corns, M&M's and other candy all over the melted chocolate.
Drizzle more melted chocolate over the candy pop corn.
Let the mixture harden then break into pieces and enjoy.
Tips
  • Use microwave popcorn or popcorn that is already popped to make this easier and faster.
  • You can use any color melting wafer that you like. Chocolate chips are also an option but I do not recommend trying to melt white chocolate chips.
  • Make this before Halloween to share with family and friends or make after using leftover candy!
