Create the perfect rainbow party food with these sprinkle loaded Rice Krispie treats. Dipped in white chocolate with extra sprinkles, these make a pretty addition to any little girls birthday party food table.


This simple to make dessert can be re-created using any colours you like, with a little food colouring and different coloured sprinkles. Turn them into spooky Halloween treats, bright coloured rainbow party food or a masculine coloured sweet treat instead.

Once your treats are mixed and added into the tray, place in the refrigerator to set.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups of puffed rice cereal
  • White chocolate melts
  • 175g pink marshmallows
  • 2 tbs butter
  • Sprinkles
Instructions

Prepare a 20 x 20cm square tray, lined with baking paper.
Add Rice Krispie cereal and sprinkles to a large bowl and combine.
Add butter to a saucepan, over medium heat. Once melted, stir in marshmallows until they are melted.
Pour marshmallow mixture over cereal and combine.
Pour into a prepared slice tray. Press mixture firmly into the tray, ensuring an even layer.
Place into the refrigerator and allow to chill for at least half an hour. Once cooled, cut into squares.
Melt white chocolate in the microwave on 30-second intervals until. Dip squares into melted chocolate and then into a bowl of sprinkles. Place bars upright on a tray and chill to set chocolate.
Tips
  • Spray your hands with a layer of cooking spray before pressing into the tray to prevent the mixture from sticking to your hands.
  • Use food colouring and white marshmallows to change the colour of your treats.
