This dessert is literally the easiest to make! It’s absolutely delish and will want you having more and more. I used fresh strawberries for this one but you can definitely use frozen - just up the cornstarch amount as specified in the recipe. It is topped with the most buttery and crispy oat crumble topping with a little hint of cinnamon for a sweet spicy experience :))

You can use any tart shell pans , cupcake tins or ramekins to bake this in. If you want you can also bake this in just one pan for easy clean up! It’s a very forgiving recipe.

Ingredients
The filling
  • 1 1/2 cups strawberries , sliced, fresh or frozen
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (+1tsp if frozen strawberries)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
The topping
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/8 cup rolled oats
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar
Serving suggestions
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
Instructions
Filling
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
mix all ingredients well together in a bowl
Portion between your preferred serving dishes while you prepare the topping
For the topping
Melt some butter in the microwave
Mix together flour, oats, cinnamon , salt , sugars well
Add melted butter , mix well and with your hands rub in to form small clumps
Divide the topping between the serving dishes
Bake until golden brown and forming thick bubbles on top
Tips
  • You can always switch the strawberries for other fruit such as blueberries, apples and etc.
