Easy & Adjustable Ice Cream Cake

I have an easy and adjustable ice cream cake for you! I’ll show you each step how you can adjust it for whomever you are making it for. You can see more of my crazy creations here

For the bottom decide what you want – graham crackers, cookies, etc. I usually crush them in a baggie with my rolling pin. This cake happens to be for my son’s birthday and he wants the cookies to be whole – easier for me 🙂

Next pick the flavor of ice cream that you want. You’ll need a 1/2 gallon. Let it sit out so it gets nice and soft, this way it’ll be easy to press and spread over the crust of your choice. My son picked Cookies n Cream. I scooped out the entire container and put the dollops of ice cream all over the pan. I gently pressed the ice cream and spread it over until it looked like this. Place the pan in the freezer and let it get good and solid before moving to the next step.

After the ice cream is nice and solid, add your top. I usually use cool whip and it spreads on nice and smooth. My son decided he wanted frosting. Spread which ever you choose and place in the freezer.

Decorating – you have so many options – you can decorate with syrup, fruit, nuts, sprinkles, etc. My son is a huge fan of the TV show “The Flash”. I decorated using the spray frosting cans to make a Flash emblem, added sprinkles, and a boarder.

Once your done decorating, place back into the freezer until it’s ready to be served.

My son picked Cookies n Cream. I scooped out the entire container and put the dollops of ice cream all over the pan. I gently pressed the ice cream and spread it over until it looked like this. Place the pan in the freezer and let it get good and solid before moving to the next step.
Optional - Toppings – if you are interested here is a great place to add toppings like chocolate or caramel syrup, peanuts, m-n-m’s, fruit, etc.
