I decided to create a healthy and tasty mint version of the Shamrock Shake out of Yum Matcha and Nature’s Flavors Organic Peppermint flavor extract, along with other nutritious ingredients such as spinach, banana, dairy-free yogurt and plant milk. Behold, I give you the Matcha Mint Shamrock Smoothie. This delicious and healthy smoothie only has 155 calories and 5.5 grams of fat, MUCH healthier than the real Shamrock Shake. Matcha has many benefits including reducing stress, boosting energy, aids in weight loss and detoxifying the body and has antioxidants to help prevent diseases and more. Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup packed fresh spinach
  • 1 small frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup So Delicious vanilla coconut yogurt alternative
  • 1/2 cup chilled Yum Matcha (original flavor)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/4 tsp Nature’s Flavors Organic Peppermint flavor extract
  • 4-5 larges cubes of ice

Instructions:

Add all ingredients, in order, to a smoothie cup. Pulse a few times and then blend on high for one minute. (Or just use your smoothie setting!)

Ingredients

Tips
  • It takes about one hour to chill the Matcha after it's prepared. Stir before pouring into smoothie cup.
