Caramel Apple Smoothie

2 smoothie

Hope everyone had a good Halloween this year! We bought a ton of caramel apple pops and other candy to hand out to kids but we didn't get any trick or treaters this year :( so now we have a ton just hanging around which inspired me to make a caramel apple smoothie!

I love smoothies because they take 5 minutes to make and are a great sweet treat to have. Apple + caramel is a genius combo also. Enjoy!

This smoothie tastes just like a caramel apple pop but is also a good source of nutrition. PLUS it takes less than 5 minutes to make! It's a win win win in my opinion (The Office reference).

Ingredients
Smoothie Mix
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup pasteurized apple cider
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 apple (chopped and no core)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • Handful of ice
Topping
  • Coconut whipped cream
  • Salted caramel
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions

In a blender, mix all smoothie ingredients for 1 minute or until there are no chunks.
In a glass/mason jar, coat rim with salted caramel
Pour smoothie mix into 1-2 glasses (depending on size and preference)
Top with whipped cream, more salted caramel, and cinnamon. Pumpkin seeds optional
Tips
  • The key to this smoothie is the apple cider, it provides the most flavor. You can also substitute for apple juice
  • Adding salted caramel on the rim makes it taste like a caramel apple with every sip. You can skip the salted caramel and add cinnamon instead for an apple pie smoothie!
